Back to School Routine

Everything changes this year with Sawyer starting high school.  There are no longer any buses that will pick him up for the early morning start time of 7:21 am.  His school is at least half an hour away which means getting up at 5:30 am and out the door by 6:30 am.  Nova, on the other hand, can ride the bus in the morning so she gets an additional hour of sleep.

I have been wanting to be a morning person for a long time so I am really trying to embrace this 5:30 am start time.  On day 2, I am feeling pretty good.  Ask me how I feel on day 9.  I can already feel the novelty wearing off.

I would like to think I can use this extra morning time for writing.  I will have at least a half an hour of quiet time (between seeing Sawyer off and getting Nova up)--I should be perfect.  We will see how this goes.

The kids seemed to have a good day at school.  No huge complaints about their teachers.  No homework, yet.  We are still working out exactly what our family schedule will be during this school year.  It looks like lots of extra driving time and more down time for the kids.

I have been feeling in a low vibrational funk lately when it comes to Aaron.  I am working on that this week.  Really trying to bring my vibrations up in hopes that his will raise too.  My mantra, "Good Vibes Only".  Maybe I should make that into a shirt.

It is only Tuesday but I am already day dreaming about the weekend.  Is that weird?
