This watermelon-basil-feta salad is not really a recipe. It is more of a suggestion. I read about this recipe years ago in some autobiography and it has stuck with me. Until then, I only thought of watermelon as a fruit. Something that you eat a big bowl of for a summer dessert. I had never thought of tossing it with other ingredients to make a salad. In fact, when I first saw the recipe, I scoffed. Feta and my beloved watermelon? No way. For what ever reason, I tried it and realized that I had been missing out all along. I hope you try it!
