7:00 am
I really am not liking these early Saturday morning piano and guitar lessons. I have to get up extra early if I want anytime to just sit and drink coffee and write, and plan. The kids are extra hard to wake up too because their little bodies are just begging to sleep in. At least for one day. Aaron left early this morning, I guess. He didn't talk to me last night and wasn't here when I woke up around 6:45 am. I guess he needs his time.
9:17 am
We finally arrive at piano/guitar because we decided at 8:43am that we had time to run to Starbucks before our 9:00 am lesson. It didn't really work as well as planned. Luckily, Mr Thomas is so nice and understanding. I loved listening to the kids working on their songs. Even though they don't practice as much as they should, they are learning and doing well.
11:30 am
Back in the car and headed to gymnastics practice. I am feeling so tired today that I just laid in bed after the practice and before we had to hit the road again.
12:35 pm
Sawyer and I hit up Detweilers along with every other person that lives in Florida. That place is always a mad house on Saturdays but it seemed even worse today. It could have been the fact that tomorrow is Easter, that they are closed on Sundays, or just that everyone wanted the free ice cream and the 2 for $1 cantelopes. We grabbed most of our groceries for the week and then headed home. I have been cheating so badly on the Whole 30 lately. It started with a tiny slip and now has ended up in bean and cheese burrito type violations. I am committed to restarting. Sawyer keeps reminding me to the point that it is annoying, but I know he is trying to be helpful. Instead of snacking on bread and cheese (which I was very tempted to do), I made a great pan of chicken thighs and roasted potatoes for lunch. It was great and I feel so much better for eating that over the bread.
1:30 pm
Back on the road to grab Nova.
2:00 pm
Have Nova and are heading home for just a few minutes before we have to take Sawyer down to the beach. I really should paddle today but decide to mope around instead. Aaron hasn't spoken to me in two whole days, Tiffany doesn't return my texts and even my kids say they hate me. It has been one of those days.
4:30 pm
After dropping off Sawyer, Nova finally talks me into going to get our nails done. A pedicure would cheer me up and I really like the looks of those cute manicures. We decided to head to Allure Nails near the mall to get our nails looking pretty. I loved sitting in the massage chair and just relaxing--it was exactly what I needed to do today. I was talked into letting Nova get a "dip manicure" with a bit of tips added to them. I decided to do the manicure without added tips. I wanted really light pink and ended up with pink glitter. It looks OK but I love the way Nova's turned out.
7:18 pm
Finally home with pretty nails. Aaron and Sawyer are here but Aaron left almost as soon as we walked in the door. No idea where he is going. Still not talking to me. Maybe he is going out to get me something special for Easter?
8:00 pm
I make some bean and cheese burritos for dinner and eat them without guilt. Although, they didn't really taste as good as I had remembered.
8:20 pm
We head over to feed and play with the cat. I love being there. So calm, so peaceful, just me and the kids. I love it there.
9:00 pm
Finally home for the night, the kids watching their shows, and I sneak into my room to work on Easter eggs (filling them with money) and Easter baskets. Aaron is cleaning a fish that he must have caught this morning. The whole kitchen smells awful. The whole house smells awful.
10:00 pm
I settle in with my phone for a few episodes of Girls, until Nova comes into the room to cuddle and talk.
Lights out and goodnight all!
