CrossFit Hands

Today was a quiet work from home day.  I had hoped to sneak out and re-do my nails but I just didn't.  I worked and I meal planned and I got ready for the week.  I spent a few minutes outside with the dogs (check out https://k9answers.com/uncategorized/tips-on-training-and-how-to-strengthen-the-bond-with-your-dog/ for dog services)  but didn't have time to get back to the yard to blow the leaves.  It was a good day--just not a lot of time for me

Sawyer and I went to CrossFit and my energy level had returned.  I had a great workout---even though compared to other Cross Fittters it would have been considered pathetic.  I feel like I did great on my toes to bar because I was able to swing my legs to horizontal and get a bit of a kip going.  The coaches are so nice there that they make me feel good about myself instead of feeling like such an old, out of shape, lady.

Since I had planned to do something nice for myself all week, I decided that going to CrossFit was my nice thing for today.  I am so happy that I have the opportunity to go, that I get to share in it with my son (and soon, my daughter) and that the coaches are so great.

Sawyer and I went to Target after CrossFit and I realized I had rough and tough hands from all of the toes to bar work.  The photo doesn't do it justice---those are some rough hands!

I made salad with grilled chicken, goat cheese, apples and candied walnuts for dinner.  So good and the kids didn't even complain.
