A productive day at the office. It was odd--time seemed to fly by. I can't even remember what I was working on but whatever it was it kept me engrossed and occupied. In the later part of the day, I spent some time talking to Linda. She is such a great person to talk to and has great insight on everything, including tough relationship stuff.
I was happy that Tiffany was able to go out to the tunnels and work on the curriculum for the paddleboard yoga teacher training class that is coming up. I think she will be a great teacher and I think together with Janice and Aaron, we will have the best paddleboard yoga teacher training around.
On the drive home, I talked to my mom, as I do most days. We don't have much to talk about but because we talk almost everyday, we can just talk about the little details of the day. I don't have to fill her in on the stories, I can just carry on where I left off from the previous day. I guess while I was chatting with her Sawyer was texting her about how excited he was to go to CrossFit. I was a bit worried that Aaron might not take him but he did end up dropping him off in time for the workout.
Nova and I went to pick Sawyer up from Crossfit and had a few minutes to work on our own handstands while we waited. I even got a thumbs up from Coach Doug! Made me feel good. I have lots of room to improve but a good coach can pick up on those little things and really push you to want to improve. Sawyer was THRILLED at the end of the workout. I guess those endorphins must have been really pumping through him because he said, over and over again, "THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN!" and "I'm sorry Mom, I keep saying the same thing but that was so much fun!" It made me happy to see him so excited. I hope those coaches know how much influence they have on people. A good coach can make your whole day brighter. Thanks Coach Doug!
We stopped by Chipotle for dinner, which seems to have become our typical Thursday night. For some reason, I haven't been enjoying it as much lately. Likely because I am so congested.
Nova finished her homework early today so we had time for a bit of The Voice, until she got bored and went to her room. I watched a bit of Grey's Anatomy with Sawyer before I headed to bed.
Aaron did his own thing tonight---paddling, fishing and then just hanging alone in the bedroom watching surfing videos and drinking beer. I suppose this type of relationship stuff is normal but I don't like it. Really working on sending meditations to him and hoping that we can end this really tough stuff we are going through right now. May you be happy, May you be well, May you be peaceful and at ease.
Nova and I head out of town this weekend! I am excited to have a weekend away....I only wish Sawyer was coming with us.
