Last day before spring break is over and I am so sad that the kids have to go back to school tomorrow.   I love the freedom of life without the huge chunk of time that school takes.  I really wanted to just be home today.  To get groceries and get organized for the week.  The kids had other ideas.  They really wanted to shoot some videos for our YouTube channel and they really wanted to do that at Jumpin' Fun, with Marlin.

We spent some time in the morning coming up with a name for our channel.  Top contenders include: NYKLON, SNAK, KANS (all combinations of our names somehow), Ride Every Wave (although Nova thinks this is too surfy), Ohana Means Family (kids love this, I am not sure), and The Camera is Dead (my favorite, thought up by Nova).

We picked up Marlin, shot some video and then came back to the house to eat quickly before picking up Sawyer's friend and taking them to the movies.  I was so impressed with Marlin (vegan and gluten free) and his ability to quickly whip up a delicious meal with just whatever we had around.  He made rice noodles with black bean garlic paste and a bit of a peanut sauce, topped with tofu and pickled daikon.  Plus, his presentation was lovely too.

Aaron had a really busy day today and then was invited to go kite-surfing with a friend.  He has been wanting to do that for so long and was giddy with excitement and nervousness.  We hoped to have some time to go down and get some video of him but we just ran out of time.

Sawyer didn't want us to see the same movie as him so Nova, Marlin and I saw the IMAX Beauty and the Beast while Sawyer and his friends saw the same movie in a different theater.  It was great! The storyline was the original but there were little quirks and special effects that made it so good.
