3.21.17--My Mom's Birthday

Today is my mom's birthday!  Happy Birthday Mom!  I really wish she was hanging out with us today and was hoping that she would surprise us.  It would have been so fun to have her show up today--leaving the freezing cold Michigan for some fun in the sun and some grandkid time.  She has lots of travel this year and is saving money for that but I just want my mommy, plus I know the sunshine and warm weather would be good for her.  Oh well...she is planning to move here in July so I guess I can wait for that.

Mary and I were treated to a little surprise on our lunchtime walk---a mom and baby manatee in the shallow waters right in front of USF.  We sat and watched them for a bit and huge schools of jacks kept moving through stirring up the water.  It was very cool.

After school/work, Sawyer and I headed off to CrossFit while Nova went with Aaron to finish packing up equipment from a busy day.  I thought they were going to come straight home but Aaron bribed Nova (with a Coke!) to go fishing for a bit.  They brought home a fish but didn't get home until after 9.  I think Nova had fun though---she rarely has any one-on-one time with Aaron and it is good for both of them.

I made beans and rice for dinner, cleaned up the kitchen and now I am going to go crawl under my blankets and watch this HBO show that I just started watching, "Big Little Lies".
