It is hard to keep up a writing practice everyday. On the days that I am not in front of my computer much, the last thing I want to do is to pull it out and spend time writing. I have been jotting things down in my passion planner but those words haven't been making it to the computer until today.
We had a busy weekend again with gymnastics, surfing and just hanging out as a family (minus Aaron, plus Marlin)--at Disney Springs (for dinner), at Nova's gymnastics meet (36.875 AA, highest score at this level) and then in Cocoa Beach (to surf, but the surf was bad).
I am back at work now. The kids are on spring break and I want to be able to spend time with them. Luckily, they are with Tiffany, Marlin and Luna and I know they are having a great time. I am not worried about them but I do wish I could be with them. I am trying to save my vacation time for Hawaii this summer and I want at least three weeks there so I need to save every drop of it.
I dropped them off at Tiff's and then made the commute to my office. I was rushing to finish up something that I thought had been completed on Friday so I rushed around making sure to get it done.
I had lunch with Mary again (at the Grind) and it was so cold outside. I didn't realize that this cold front was going to make March so crisp and cool. It felt good to be walking outside but I really wasn't dressed right. I had a dress on and the wind kept blowing it up.
After work, I grabbed the kids from Tiff's house where they were practicing handstands and other gymnastics tricks in the yard. They didn't want to leave and I was so happy they were outside playing that I didn't really want to leave either. The air is is cool and the days are so long right now--it was so nice to just be outside.
We ran home to let the dogs out and then headed straight to Blaze Pizza to celebrate Pi Day (3.14). Hundreds of people were lined up to get $3.14 pizzas and we waited in line for an hour! It was cold but we watched YouTube videos, chatted and cuddled to keep each other warm. Aaron showed up right before we entered the building, avoiding the outside wait entirely. It was the first time in a very long time that we have all had dinner together so it was good that he was there.
By the time we got home, it was already past 9:00 pm. Aaron and I curled up in my bed watching the newest season of Survivor while the kids watched their own shows in their own rooms. We have turned into that family. Which is guess is normal.
