I don’t even really like sugar cookies. But, I do like those brightly colored sugar cookies that you can find at just about every store during any holiday.
Who doesn’t? Kids are drawn to their bright colors and sprinkles. Grown-ups enjoy the retro flavor of a simple sugar cookie combined with their buttery frosting.
The kids are always asking me to buy them and I am always reluctantly saying , “No.” Who knows what preservatives are in them? Not to mention the odd food dyes.
Awhile ago, Annie of Annie’s Eats posted her homemade version of these festive sweets and ever since then Rosie has been begging for me to make them.
Finally, I did.
Orange for fall. Halloween sprinkles because that is what we had.
I wish I had a few minutes to type out the recipe for you but since I only did what Annie told me to do….I am going to redirect you to her site (which if you don’t already know about—you should).
But before you go, I do want to tell you one thing:
“Happy Fall!”
