I had to teach my classes on Halloween--which meant that my students had to be there on Halloween. In an effort to be a nice teacher, the Bean and I made these chocolate turtles for my students. I got the idea from My Judy the Foodie--but had to make some slight modifications.
These cannot be easier. Seriously, any child can do this on their own. They may need help with the oven but everything else should be a piece of cake.
You won't need a recipe either ...as there are three ingredients-pretzels, bite size Snickers, and pecans. The original recipe called for Rolo's but we couldn't find them anywhere so we substituted with Snickers.
First, preheat oven to 300 degrees and lay the pretzels out a a baking sheet covered in parchement.
Second, place one bite size Snicker on each pretzel.
Third, bake for four minutes. The chocolate will be nice and melty--yet not melting all over the pan.
Fourth, press a pecan half into the top of each turtle. Let cool on a cooling rack or in the refrigerator.
Once they are completely cooled, they are fine to stack on top of each other.
Eat in moderation or share generously!
