I worked from home today and finished up about a half an hour early so I could get my hair done. My attempt to beautify myself was thwarted by traffic yesterday and was cut short today by needing to leave for my CrossFit workout. I feel good that I am willing and wanting to get that workout in. Part of it is my new apple watch, inspiring me to meet my goals each day and part of it is Sawyer. He is there waiting for me, encouraging me and it makes me want to be there, even more. It helps too that I feel that I am getting stronger, even though my weight has not changed.
The workout tonight was tough–a tabata workout with handstand holds, hollow rocks, kettlebell swings, bikes, rowing, and wall balls. It was intense but it did feel good. The box has been so hot and they keep the fans on at the very lowest, barely moving setting, and the sweat just pours off of me. At some point in my life, I would have thought it gross, but now I like it. It feels cleansing in a way.
After the workout, Sawyer told me about some big stuff happening at his school. I don’t want to get into it here but I am so so proud of him for confiding in us and for doing the right thing. Maybe we are doing something right?
I picked Nova up at gymnastics while Aaron made dinner (taco salad!). Aaron has made dinner three nights in a row, which I am super grateful for. Actually, his chili last night was amazing and the recipe will be up on the site soon. Way too good to not share with the world.
I was able to connect with our T-shirt printer for the business and I really liked him. A good guy with a good family and we are happy to work with them.
Thought I would be able to watch Survivor tonight but no….way too tired. Maybe tomorrow!
