I have been in the mood to listen to music lately. Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton (mostly Jolene), Bon Iver, Band of Horses have all be playing through my Pandora feed. I need to learn how to make a playlist on Spotify so I can listen to the songs I want to listen to, when I want to listen to them.
Today was a work from home day. I had a meeting to attend online so I was able to listen to the meeting, do other work and even get a few loads of laundry done. Work was pretty uneventful. I was able to do a bit of research today on a few things that might help my relationship with Aaron. Not sure anything will work at this point but I am hopeful.
After work, I picked up the kids from the bus and we had our regular Wednesday dash. Run Nova to practice and then Sawyer and I to CrossFit. CrossFit was great though--I really like Coach Doug. He pushes us and gives compliments just at the right time--like when you feel like you are dying. For the strength workout, I could have used heavier weights but I was a bit scared (overhead squats) so I stayed with 25 pounds. I was proud of myself for the workout though! It was 'Jackie'--1000 m row, 50 thrusters, 30 pull-ups (I did ring rows). It was tough but I finished in 12:27. Sawyer finished in 11:32 and he actually did pull-ups. I am so proud of that kid! And I love how the coaches encourage him. It is my favorite part of the gym.
We rushed from CrossFit to our hair appointments (me, color; Sawyer, a cut) but we were there a few minutes late and the women wanted to reschedule. Sawyer was kind of bummed but I was happy. I was not in the mood to be there until 9:30 tonight...and then still make dinner and help with homework.
We left the salon and came home to get started on homework and dinner. I managed to whip out a spinach salad with goat cheese, blueberries and walnuts, pasta with Alfredo sauce and veggie chicken patties. Not too bad for a 15 minute dinner.
Aaron went to pick Nova up at practice and I am waiting for her to return. I am wary of looking at her teachers websites because I don't want to stay up to help her do homework tonight. I am tired and I want to crawl into bed and watch Homeland. Season 6 is intense.
